The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) brings the Royal Docks within 22 minutes of the City and 15 minutes of Canary Wharf, connecting at Canning Town to the Jubilee Line.
The City and West End can also be reached via the Central Line at Stratford, two stops from Canning Town.
The recently completed DLR southern extension from Canning Town to North Woolwich provides a direct link to London City Airport and four new stations at West Silvertown, Pontoon Dock, London City Airport and King George V.
A further extension of the DLR line under the River Thames to a new DLR station in Woolwich town centre is due to be completed in February 2009. From 2010 services will operate from Woolwich Arsenal to Stratford International via the London City Airport extension.
