Newham Council to move to the Royals Business Park

Building 1000, the £70 million first phase of the Royals Business Park, is to be home to 2,000 of Newham Council's key office based staff from April 2008. It will mean better services for local people and cost savings for Newham Council as staff currently scattered around the borough in 24 separate buildings are brought together under one roof.
Building 1000 consists of two high specification glass and steel buildings, totalling 252,000 sq ft. These are linked by a spectacular Winter Garden and overlook the Royal Albert Dock and London City Airport.
Newham Council will occupy 150,000 sq ft and will lease the remaining space.
The Royals Business Park is being developed by Development Securities and the London Development Agency.
